This summer was full of colours and patterns. Vintage textiles and second-hand clothing is where I find inspiration, which I transform into new pieces to live in today’s culture. To be worn again.
To stand here alongside the vibrant summer that showcases the heart of my world of intertwining patterns and colors is truly wonderful.
Participating at BCEFW (within Ljubljana Fashion Week showcase) represented my first major, broader presentation of my work; through the professionalism and organisation of the team, from Slovenia’s LJFW to Budapest’s BCEFW. For the first time, I experienced the backstage in a relatively calm way, if I compare it to the chaotic student shows where clothes fly everywhere, and you don’t really have time to check if everything is as you envisioned – here, the models were already dressed and standing in line for the runway 20 minutes before the start. I think that was quite a luxury I could get used to, and I’m grateful to have experienced it.
Thanks to the BCEFW team & Melinda Rebrek, Den Baruca, Ela Mejač & Nina Jagodic for making sure that everything ran smoothly.
