When you ask me where my home is,

I tell you—home’s not where, but with who.

And I’ll show you my people,

smiling, vibrant, and wonderful,

O HAPPY DAY

tells a story of little things that last forever. It’s love captured in a dance of nature, playfulness and gentleness. A world where time gently slows down and each moment breathes in the rhythm of simple pleasures. The warmth of home and friends intertwines with the quiet understanding of belonging and the comfort of being fully seen.

A celebration of love, craft and sustainability, ‘O HAPPY DAY’ collection reimagines wedding attire through the lens of upcycling and storytelling. Each look is a tapestry of carefully sourced vintage textiles, lace curtains, table linens and off-cut fabrics transformed into expressive, one-of-a-kind garments. From the groom’s mix-matched jacket to the bride’s lace-draped skirt and corset top and the bridesmaids’ vibrant, playful outfits, every piece honors the beauty of imperfection and the charm of slow fashion. Handmade details—porcelain earrings, flower crowns and elastic-scrunched shoes—complete the looks, creating a whimsical, intimate world where tradition meets creative reuse.

The first look was designed for the groom. A jacket that became the heart of the collection. Crafted entirely from vintage hand-embroidered table napkins, it’s a patchwork of history, woven with care and adorned with a playful mix of mismatched buttons.

The napkins (which were given to me by my brother-in-law’s late grandmother) were stitched together in a poetic collage, their fringed borders left exposed, adding a sense of raw, tactile beauty. Two front pockets and a golden-hued vintage viscose lining complete the piece.

Underneath, a soft cotton t-shirt made from delicate, dotted floral fabric brings a gentle, romantic contrast; light and playful beneath the more structured jacket.

The pants are a blend of textures: towel-like off-cuts paired with light white cotton, lined with old curtain fabric for another layer of storytelling. The vertical cuts with exposed seams create a new rhythm of pattern, while vintage decorative trim runs down the sides, adding movement and charm. A shell button fastens the waist, grounding the look in nostalgia.

The only new-store-bought part here was the zipper for the pants.

The second look was created for the bride; an ode to softness, structure, and play.

The top is a corset-like, asymmetrical piece crafted from old polyester curtains, stitched together with rows of visible overlock seams, layered like brushstrokes. The shoulder straps tie into adjustable bows, adding a delicate, romantic detail. A hidden zipper at the back, the only store-bought element, keeps the silhouette clean and modern. Inside, a vintage viscose lining whispers comfort against the skin.

The skirt flows like a dream, made from two vintage lace polyester curtains, pleated at the waist and secured with two bows, allowing for an adjustable fit that moves with the body. Beneath the skirt, biker-style shorts peek out, edged with lace; a playful nod to layering and freedom of movement, all stitched from vintage fabrics.

The look is adorned with a pair of handmade porcelain earrings, a crown of flowers and shoes; vintage bases transformed with elastic-scrunched curtain fabric, adding a whimsical final touch.

The third look was made for the second bridesmaid; a playful, versatile piece designed to transform with a simple gesture.

The baloon dress that features bow-tied straps, is crafted from a collage of mix-matched vintage textiles, each fabric adding its own story to the whole.

At the hem, a lace curtain detail invites interaction: it can be left to flow freely or pulled up and tied around the waist, creating an entirely new silhouette; short and sweet, like a hidden layer of joy waiting to be revealed.

It has a hidden, store-bought zipper at the back.

The look is completed with vintage-base shoes covered in elastic-scrunched curtain fabric, a pair of handmade porcelain earrings, and a crown of flowers; a finishing touch that turns the bridesmaid into a walking poem of transformation, whimsy, and care.

The fourth look was designed with the first bridesmaid in mind; vibrant, layered, and playful.

The trousers are a lively patchwork of five different vintage textiles, stitched together into a playful mix of colours and textures. Two red vintage buttons fasten the waist, while a store-bought zipper is the only nod to the new. Pockets on the sides and in the back add practicality to the charm.

The long-sleeved top, a sheer whisper of polyester curtain is adorned with delicate floral details, catching the light with each movement.

Layered over it is a sleeveless vest made from a vintage table napkin, its Idrija lace and hand-embroidered flowers a tribute to Slovenian heritage. The other half is lined with the same curtain fabric used in the groom’s pants, a subtle thread connecting the looks.

The ensemble is finished with vintage-base shoes covered in elastic-scrunched curtain fabric, a pair of handmade pearl earrings, and a crown of flowers, turning the bridesmaid into a living poem of textures and tradition.
