Story behind the photo series ‘‘The Lightness of Being’’ speaks of gifts; them being so precious that we take care of them by locking them away. Can you imagine using them and something happens to them?
What if that crystal glass shattered in a million pieces? What if your mom’s favourite tablecloth got spilled by red wine?
Way no way! Let’s rather lock them away in a closet or in a showcase. Use them only for ‘‘special occasions’’. And for any other – shall there be dust on them instead!
As long as they are at a safe place, maybe we will forget we have them and won’t find them anyways. And only when we move out and do the cleaning, then we might see them again. Aren’t we just ridiculous, people?
